Closed Cell Treatment Systems for Cell Therapy Workflows

Cell therapy manufacturing processes require controlled environments, but cleanroom space is difficult to obtain and maintain. Closed systems reduce cleanroom space requirements by up to 90%. Due to their modular nature, they make it possible to decouple fast processes (e.g. buffer changes) from longer processes (e.g. cell expansion). Additionally, closed systems can use countercurrent centrifugation, facilitating cell recovery, washing, and concentration with minimal mechanical stress and no pelleting.
