Dramatic realignment tilts poor districts to GOP

“Nine of the 10 wealthiest congressional districts are represented by Democrats, while Republicans now make up most of the poorest half of the country,” Axios reports.

“The past few decades have ushered in a dramatic political realignment, as the GOP broadened its appeal to a more diverse working class and the Democrats emerged as the party of the wealthiest and most educated voters.”
