EXPOSED: Twitter files show former employees tried to ban Congressman Matt Gaetz

Twitter CEO Elon Musk released another batch of files continuing to expose Twitter’s role in shutting down conservative speeches online, as well as their compliance with intelligence officials to bury the Hunter Biden Laptop story in the 2020 presidential election.

Now evidence shows that former Twitter trust and safety chief Yoel Roth intentionally pushed the social media platform to target and ban Congressman Matt Gaetz, citing the riot in Capitol on January 6, 2021 as the main reason despite other colleagues. stating that Gaetz had not violated Twitter’s terms of service.

An unnamed employee had asked Roth on January 7, 2021 what the latest allegations were regarding rumors of Antifa activity on Capitol Hill, specifically referring to tweet de Gaetz stating that members of the radical organization infiltrated Trump protesters who stormed the Capitol that day. It was noted in correspondence that only one other employee reference as “C” was “shouting from the other room that we should just ban Gaetz”.

Roth replied that other employees were “working on it.”

“He doesn’t quite fit anywhere (duh),” Roth said. “But I’m trying to talk about safety by treating this as an incitement…I think we’ll cross the eviction line as a conspiracy that incites violence… [then-head of Legal, Policy and Trust] Vijaya [Gadde] was directionally okay with that.

Twitter corruption exposed

It has been known for some time that Twitter employees have aggressively tried for years to ban, outright ban and censor conservative and Republican figures while receiving mainstream media coverage that they are still a fair and open platform for free speech, despite the evidence.

Following the release of the Twitter files, which were provided by new Twitter CEO Elon Musk to independent journalists Matt Taibbi, Michael Shellenberger and Bari Weiss, we are now able to see the extent of the corruption of ex-Twitter employees such as Roth in particular. Roth had very publicly held animosity toward conservatives and former President Donald Trump, as his own tweets show.

“In 2017 Roth tweeted that there were ‘REAL NAZIS IN THE WHITE HOUSE'” according at Shellenberger. “In April 2022, Roth told a colleague that his goal ‘is to lead change in the world,’ which is why he has decided not to become an academic.”

“Regardless of your opinion of the decision to remove Trump that day, internal communications on Twitter between January 6 and January 8 have clear historical significance,” Taibi said. “Even Twitter employees understood at the time that this was a defining moment in the annals of speech.”
