Flyers’ Tony DeAngelo throws Corey Perry with a stick
Update: DeAngelo was suspended two games by the NHL without pay on Wednesday for spearing Corey Perry. He will lose nearly $55,000 in salary for shooting the Lightning forward’s manhood.
How wrong do you have to be to have multiple hockey players trying to fight you at the same time? In the case of Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Tony DeAngelo, the 5-on-1 attack was justified. In Tuesday night’s game against Tampa Bay, and with the Lightning pretty much finished the game, DeAngelo decided to get involved in the usual after-the-whistle scramble that takes place in hockey. After the usual punches and rounds of chatter, hockey players usually sing Kumbaya and move on with their lives. DeAngelo’s idiot decided to speed things up unnecessarily by driving the tip of his stick blade into Lightning forward Corey Perry’s manhood.
After the pile of players was dismantled with less than three minutes left in the contest, DeAngelo received a major harpooning penalty and was ejected from the game. Don’t feel sorry for him because he got tackled on the ice and teased in bed. Don’t come to the aid of Perry either, who has been suspended three times during his NHL career for dirty plays, most recently in 2020 for elbowing then-predatory Ryan Ellis.

According to Olivia Reiner of the Philadelphia Inquirer, DeAngelo was not aiming for the groin and it was in retaliation for Perry’s trash talk throughout the game. The NHL’s Department of Player Safety has a hearing with DeAngelo scheduled for Wednesday, with a multi-game suspension likely looming for Flyers defenseman. DeAngelo was suspended once in his NHL career, for three games in 2017 after coming into physical contact with a referee. DeAngelo was also suspended three times from junior hockey, playing in the Ontario Hockey League. DeAngelo is also a proud shit MAGA And apparently racist who would have been punched in the face by a Rangers teammate shortly before that team placed him on waivers.
