Lauren Boebert Gets Hammered By Denver Post Op-Ed
The underlying premise of stochastic terrorism was only a matter of time before a lone wolf acted on the hatred being spewed by Republican politicians toward the LGBTQ community. Maybe only Marjorie Taylor Greene was more public with her hatred of all things ‘Q’ of the LGBTQ family, but Lauren Boebert was right there with her, as documented on Denver Post in a raunchy editorial against the newly re-elected MP:
“Lauren Boebert…tweeted this Sunday following the Club Q shooting: ‘The news from Colorado Springs is absolutely horrendous. This morning the victims and their families are in my prayers. This lawless violence must stop and end rapidly.
No mention in his tweet that this senseless act of violence was aimed at a group often targeted by marginalization and very often by Boebert.
“This is the same person who once offered these gems: ‘Take your kids to CHURCH, not the bars’ and ‘We went from Reading Rainbow to Randy Rainbow in a few decades, but dare not say that the left is getting ready. our children!'”
“Grooming” is a “must use” word in the MAGA lexicon.
“Boebert was rightly excoriated for her role in elevating hate speech against the LGBTQ community. As a bonus, her hardline stance on gun control, even ruling out common sense measures, means she wouldn’t have supported any effort that could have stopped this shooter’s guns. possession.”
“Boebert’s profile has made her an easy target for those who point out the dangerous environment created when we don’t treat our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer neighbors as equals. But she’s not alone in this. State, not to mention the nation, guilty of perpetuating the rhetoric that fuels fear and hatred.
The last paragraph is particularly terrifying as it explains why we can expect more mass shootings directed at our LGBTQ family. The whole premise of stochastic terrorism is that if enough hate and false accusations are spewed out at a community – as Lauren Boebert does – the lone wolves will do the real dirty work, just like what happened in Colorado Springs.
