Mitch McConnell hospitalized after fall at former Trump hotel in DC: report
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was hospitalized after falling at the former Trump Hotel in Washington, DC on Wednesday night, according to a Punchbowl News report. There is no word on McConnell’s condition or injury.
McConnell’s spokesman Doug Andres issued a brief statement to the media: “Tonight Chef McConnell stumbled into a local hotel during a private dinner party. He was admitted to hospital where he is receiving treatment.

McConnell, 81, limped after a childhood case of polio in 1944.
McConnell fractured his shoulder in 2019 in a fall at his home in Louisville, Kentucky (Excerpt from CNN):
“This morning, Chef McConnell tripped on his outdoor patio at home and fractured his shoulder,” David Popp, McConnell’s director of communications, said in a statement. “He has been treated, released and is working from his home in Louisville.”
McConnell made headlines this week criticizing the broadcast of video about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson.
