Sony Music Edition The UK has promoted Naomi Asher to Vice President, Songwriter Services and Neighboring Rights.
According to a press release, in his elevated role, Asher will serve as the “go-to contact” for songwriters and clients of the SMP UK catalog and will be responsible for expanding opportunities and fostering the success of their songs both locally and locally. ‘international.

The executive will remain based in the company’s London office and will report to the joint managing directors of SMP UK. David Ventura and Tim Major.

Prior to joining the company, she was Director and Chairman of Wixen Music UK Ltd., where she focused on neighboring rights.
As a co-founder of the Independent Alliance for Artists’ Rights (IAFAR), Asher is also an advocate for standardization and increased transparency through neighboring rights.
Elsewhere at Sony Music Publishing UK, Shauni Caballero was recently appointed as Senior A&R Manager.
