Sam Bankman-Fried arrested in the Bahamas

“FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested by Bahamian authorities this evening after the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York shared a sealed indictment with the Bahamian government, paving the way for Extradition and US Trial of Former Crypto Billionaire at Heart of Crypto Exchange Collapse,” CNBC reports.

New York Times: “Prosecutors for the Southern District of New York have confirmed that Mr. Bankman-Fried has been charged and said an indictment will be unsealed on Tuesday. The charges include wire fraud, conspiracy to defraud by wire, securities fraud, securities fraud conspiracy and money laundering.
