“There were some ugly bitches in that video” – When TK Kirkland explained why ESPN fired Paul Pierce
Paul Pierce was one of the former NBA players who became an analyst when he joined ESPN during the 2016 playoffs. However, due to an incident where he posted an Instagram live showing how he was surrounded by several women wearing bikinis and smoking blunts, the 2008 champion was fired.
For context, ESPN is owned by Disney and they value their image greatly. This could be a huge reason why the Hall of Fame striker was fired by the company soon after the incident.
Comedian TK Kirkland recently shared the reason Pierce was fired from being a broadcaster.

“What happened to the old ways? Just walk in and say, ‘Listen, motherfuckers. I stop. You could do it too, now. Without bothering you. said Kirkland.
“There’s one thing, you could come in and say, ‘I’m quitting’ and move on. Or have your agent say, ‘Paul wants out of his contract, he doesn’t want to come in anymore. Now, since we’ve published all these different stories, it’s also going to be a conspiracy theory.”
“Somebody’s gonna say what you said, somebody’s gonna say, ‘There were some ugly bitches on that video, that’s why he got fired!’ The president of Disney saw this video and said, “All the money we’re paying this motherfucker, he couldn’t have been more handsome. Call his agent, fire that ker motherfucker. Is that what he does with our money? He couldn’t choose prettier bitches?'”
Kirkland’s reasoning could be a valid argument that could be used to explain why Pierce was fired from ESPN. On the bright side, the former 10-time All-Star is an accomplished NBA star and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.

Paul Pierce shared an interesting story about a particular match against Kobe Bryant
Paul Pierce and Kobe Bryant had amazing battles in the past and gave fans a lot of memories. In a recent interview, the former Boston Celtics star shared an example where Bryant showed him the true Mamba mentality.
“He put so much pressure on me, I think he shot the ball every time. He had about 40. He had about 40. I looked at the stat sheet, he took 41 shots on Me.”
“He came to Boston and took 41 hits on me and I was like, ‘Wait, man. He was just trying to chop my head off. Like, he was trying to go for 80.”
From Pierce’s story, it’s clear that Bryant’s Mamba Mentaliy was always ready. That’s probably why he was feared by some of the stars he played against.
