Why are fans criticizing TJ Dinch and calling him a “hater”?
Southern Hospitality season 1 aired episode 3 on Monday, December 12, 2022, with a big blowout between TJ Dinch and Mikel Simmons.
TJ has been drawing attention since the previous episode as he threw shade at Grace Lilly. He was seen calling the latter’s Instagram posts inappropriate, leading to a fight between the two. Despite their feud, Grace invited TJ to her birthday party.
As soon as he arrived, TJ started commenting on Michael and his work ethic. He called Mikel and Grace “unprofessional”, which sparked the VIP host of Republic Garden & Lounge. Mikel started yelling at TJ and left the party after throwing a drink.
While fans didn’t appreciate Mikel’s behavior, they also felt that TJ was a “hater” who didn’t have to judge others.
Fans claim TJ Dinch is a ‘fake’
From the first episode, it was clear that the staff at Republic nightclub weren’t big fans of Mikel Simmons and Grace Lilly. They didn’t like Mikel after he betrayed his boss Leva Bonaparte by taking VIP guests to another nightclub.
While Leva forgave him and brought him back to work, bartender TJ Dinch and VIP host Joe Bradley weren’t happy working with Mikel. The latter discovered that TJ called him “unprofessional” and denigrated him behind his back.
In Southern Hospitality season 1 episode 3, Mikel was fired up after TJ made side comments at Grace’s birthday party. Fans wondered why TJ hated Mikel and called him “trash.”

When it was Joe Bradley’s turn, he read:
“They don’t deserve to work at Republic.”
Mikel immediately looked at TJ and said it was a “thirsty bitch quote”. He claimed the remark was about him when Jo mentioned that they didn’t know who said it. In response, Mikel laughed and said they were all wrong.
Seeing Mikel’s meltdown, TJ commented, “such class work”, which further triggered Mikel and he started yelling at TJ. Near the end, Joe asked him to calm down and mentioned that Mikel had to work with him and TJ that night. The statement somehow angered Mikel and he threw a drink at Joe and TJ.

Episode 3 of Southern Hospitality season 1 was mostly about the Mikel spinoff with TJ at Gracebirthday party. However, the episode also took a peek into the personal lives of the other cast members.
As Emmy Sharrett bragged about her sex life with boyfriend Will Kulp, viewers met love interest Lucia Pena. She got back together with her son’s father in hopes of becoming a family again. Maddi Reese also opened up about her former boyfriend to the girls. In the previous episode, she decided to give her ex-boyfriend a second chance.

Episode 3 also showed Mia Alario talking to her dad about her chef boyfriend Owen. Also, the last episode ended on a cliffhanger. In the next episode, viewers will see the group head out on a fun day trip.
